Mary Deevy Consulting

Hello! I’m Mary, based in the scenic town of Thomastown, County Kilkenny—one of the many beautiful corners of rural Ireland. I have a passion for rural Ireland , and I’ve always had a strong interest in the small businesses that form the backbone of rural communities.

Throughout my career, I’ve had the privilege of working closely with entrepreneurs and small businesses in a variety of roles. From my time as a Business Advisor with the Local Enterprise Office (LEO) to running my own small tourism business, I’ve gained invaluable insights into the challenges and triumphs of running a rural business. My research into sustainable rural development for my Master’s thesis remains a key area of interest and informs much of the work I do today.
Teaching and training have always been close to my heart, and I take great pride in helping people bring out the best in themselves. Over the years, I’ve delivered a range of courses for various organisations, including Local Enterprise Offices, Teagasc, Enterprise Training Boards, and Rural Development Colleges.

With a background in finance and tourism, alongside more recent qualifications in training and executive coaching, I bring a diverse skillset to my work. I offer mentoring, training, and consulting services that support entrepreneurs at every stage of their journey. I have a particular interest in early-stage development, as I know how critical—and often challenging—this phase can be.

Through tailored packages, I aim to provide the guidance and tools needed to help entrepreneurs navigate this crucial part of their business development.

Whether you’re looking for strategic advice, training opportunities, or personalised mentoring, I’m here to help you succeed and grow.
